Colorado Winter

Steamboat Springs is best known for its world class ski area.   The Ski Area in Black and White, expansive as it is, misses trails to both the left and right, and off the back of the mountain from the top of Storm Peak.  The Moonrise was shot from the base of the ski area, the Night shot from across the valley.  The ski area is visible at the right edge of Valley under Snow; much of the land heading away from the ski area flattens out quickly.  The top of the Flattops are as high as 12,000 feet.  The final three pictures were all taken while snowshoeing in Rabbit Ears Pass, above 10,000 feet.
